Wednesday: You’ve really got your work cut out for you on Wednesday so deciding between all these parties is going to be pretty tough. My advice – start early and go to them all, tomorrow’s a public holiday FFS. First on the list is See You Next Wednesday ft Haezer. If you’re in the mood for something really wild and sweaty, this is where you’ll want to be.

Wednesday: If you get bored at Assembly, guess what? City Bowl Sessions is happening across the road! And it features TRMB favourites Ryan Gosling, Mudbud, Einstein Adonis, Daddy Warbucks and Das Kapital. You can also party guilt-free because you’re gonna be getting trashed for a good cause. A win-win really.

Wednesday: Lastly, if you wanna travel a bit off the beaten track, you can head on down to The Manila Bar for YOH!’s “last event in a while” (ominous) and will feature some of the best acts that have made this party great.

Saturday: At this point if you aren’t broke, lying in a gutter or getting your stomach pumped you’ll be quite pleased to know that it’s time for After Hours! Yes, they really did save the best for last, and this time around the theme is ‘Winter Wonderland’ so you can expect an old man shovelling snow, air conditioning, waking up in an igloo and possibly even… polar bears?

Tuesday: Once that’s done you can head over to this week’s Untamed Youth at Fiction, which is all about Youngbloodz and is based on a regular segment in Sideshow’s radio show, where she provides a platform for young/up-and-comers to show what they’re made of. Wednesday: This week SYNW at Assembly will be collaborating with YOH! for the first time and promises performances by Jakkals, Nicolaas van Reenen (Bateleur), Al Bairre, Stone-Age Citizens, Diamond Thug, Sexual Tension, Rakkie (The Frown), Young Supreme, Einstein Adonis, Ryan Gosling and Boyz2Men. If that wasn’t enough to get you excited there’ll also cheap drinks and giftbags for the first 30 people through the door.

Saturday: Last, but definitely not least is the next installment of After Hours at Assembly. The theme this time around is ‘Treasure Island”, so expect bilgewater, scurvy, Booty Beyond The Stars, free shots, waking up in a dead man’s chest, Sexual Treasure, and obviously a whole lot of feathers.

To celebrate all these things that are definitely worth celebrating, I have a few great songs to share! The first is the latest release by South African born, St. Lucia. Apparently one of his recent performances was attended by Jay-Z and Leonardo Di Caprio. The modest thing to say is that it’s because of his amazing talent, but we all know it’s actually because I featured him on TRMB here.

More local talent in the video for “Airwaves” by Cape Town-based, Gateway Drugs. They did a brilliant job with the video and I can’t wait to see more from them!

Having two of my favourite artists at the moment feature on one song is just amazing in itself, and the remix is also good too.

Lemonade are all about Summer, as you can see in this picture. Also, loving the remix Pional did for their song, “Soft Kiss”.

Ending off with some hip hop from newcomer, QuESt. His song, “One Way” was produced by Mt Eden who used a sample from Netsky’s “Your Way” that really makes the song what it is, and the clouds in the video made me love it even more.
