Alt-J (∆)

Today I discovered Alt-J (shortcut for the symbol, ∆), who have released two amazing videos that I’m currently obsessing over. The first is the video for “Breezeblocks”, which I honestly think is one of the best videos I’ve seen all year.

The second video is for their latest single, “Taro”, which uses footage from the film, “Powaqqatsi: Life in Transformation”. The film is all about the “exploration of technologically developing nations and the effect the transition to Western-style modernization has had on them”, and offers the perfect backdrop to the band’s song.
