Metronomy | “Love Letters”.

Last month Metronomy, aka Joseph Mount, gave us the first single from his upcoming album, Love Letters, and last night he treated us to the title track from it. “Love Letters” is not what you would have expected, and I can’t seem to find many traces of the old Metronomy in it. There is a strong 70s feel to it, and Mount abandons his more modest appoach to singing for something a lot more involved. Still, it’s refreshing to see the new album going in new directions will still retaining the sound we love in songs like “I’m Aquarius”.
